My first time at the O2, London was to see my favourite band, Depeche Mode.
I went with my Wife, Sister and her partner, Paul. We were really impressed with the venue, this having been the first time that we’d been to a concert at the O2.
The support group, Soulsaver, weren’t so good. I know some people say Depeche Mode’s music can be ‘depressing’ but after this group, you’d say Depeche were positively joyous!
Some eastern Europeans failed to understand the concept of manners and a fight broke out just behind us as they tried to force their way to the front. Pity.
Depeche Mode came on at about 9pm and we had a great position near the front of the stage. The band played a two hour set featuring most of the favourites, including Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence and Never Let Me Down Again.
